The FZAG (Flughafen Zürich AG) is a mixed-economy, publicly listed company, that operates one of Switzerland's most significant transportation and meeting hubs, as well as eight airports abroad. The FZAG employs around 1,700 staff at the Zurich location. The FZAG focuses on three main business areas: transportation hubs, commercial centers, and real estate.

Problem Statement

The airport zurich provides its customers with a range of utility services. They provide electricity, water, heating, cooling, ventilation as well as other services. They do so through the SAP Module IS-U (Industry Solution Utilities). This module is geared towards very large amounts of data because utility companies often have customer bases in the millions. To handle this large amount of data SAP IS-U was tightly integrated with the SAP Module FI-CA (Current Account) which allows to handle large amounts of financial data efficiently. Hence, FI-CA had to be implemented as a middle layer between SAP IS-U and FI-CO (Finance & Controlling).

Solution

We implemented all the relevant standard processes in FI-CA for the customer:

• Custom Forms for Billing, Dunning and Customer Communication
