The Flughafen Zürich AG (FZAG) is a mixed-economy and a publicly listed company. It operates one of Switzerland's most significant transportation and meeting hubs, namely the Zürich Airport, as well as eight airports abroad. FZAG employs around 1,700 staff at the Zurich location only. FZAG focuses on three main business areas: transportation hubs, commercial centers, and real estate.

Problem Statement

FZAG has an extensive portfolio of real estate. The information of the real estate used to be manually consolidated from multiple data sources into a static dashboard that reported all the important information on a monthly basis. Because of its manual nature this process was time intensive and error prone, which caused further complications. On top of that, the resulting static dashboard only provided insight into one real estate unit at a time, and therefore fully lacking the overview of the complete portfolio.

Solution

The Portfolio Management Dashboard is an automated dashboard developed in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) that automatically connects to the data sources reducing any possible error between the sources and the destination. The new dashboard provides close to live data on each real estate unit, resulting in a full overview of the complete portfolio
